Born Lloyiso Gijana, the Uitenhage born artist first captured national attention as a finalist on Idols SA Season 11. Since then, he has continued to establish himself as one of South Africa’s most compelling contemporary pop voices, known for his emotive delivery, soul-driven storytelling, and melodic precision.

With Never Thought I Could – Part 1, Lloyiso will take listeners on a deeply personal journey of growth, reflection, gratitude, and self-discovery. The project will document his evolution both personally and artistically highlighting themes of resilience, vulnerability, and creative confidence.

The upcoming release will showcase Lloyiso’s signature heartfelt vocals layered over modern pop production. Through introspective song writing, he will reflect on milestones he once believed were out of reach, while confronting fear, unlearning harmful patterns, and embracing change.

Lloyiso has already built an impressive catalogue of chart-topping and platinum certified hits, including fan favourites such as “Seasons,” “Speak,” and “Let Me Love You Now.”

His music has resonated both locally and internationally, earning him award recognition and millions of global streams.

This Friday’s release will mark a significant new chapter in his career, reinforcing his position as a leading voice among the new generation of African pop artists.

In support of Never Thought I Could – Part 1, Lloyiso will embark on a UK promotional run in March. During this time, he will be in a series of media engagements and industry activities aimed at introducing the new project to international audiences and further expanding his global footprint.

Never Thought I Could – Part 1 will be available on all digital streaming platforms from Friday, March 06 2026.
